PROJECT DETAIL

With the TEM Edirne-Karaağaç Connection Road Project, it is planned to establish a direct high-standard road connection from the Pazarkule border gate, which is intended to become a crucial crossing point between Greece and Turkey, to the TEM highway.

The transportation to the environmental highway and the city center from the newly developed areas west of Edirne will be securely facilitated through the Gazimihal, Yıldırım Beyazıt, and K4 Fair intersections to be created. Additionally, access to industrial facilities in the vicinity of Edirne will be facilitated.

Upon completion of the project, heavy-duty vehicle traffic, which is currently not allowed to pass through the historical bridges between Karaağaç and Edirne, will be directed through the project route, aiming to preserve the historical bridges.
